How a round works
- 1. Pick a category: Person, Object or Place.
- 2. A card is dealt with seven clues, ordered from cryptic to obvious.
- 3. One player reads them aloud while everyone else guesses. The answer sits on the card, so the reader always knows who got it.
- 4. Hold to discard. That card is gone until you decide to shuffle the pile back in, which takes one tap.
Playing with two or three people and nobody wants to sit out as the reader? No-Reader Mode has the app reveal the clues itself, one at a time, at whatever pace you set, with the answer hidden until someone holds to reveal it.
Questions
Do I still need the board game?
Yes, and that is the point. This replaces the card deck only. You keep playing on your own board with your own die and your own house rules. Nothing about how you score changes.
How many cards are there?
130 free, across Person, Object, Place and Hard. The Complete Deck adds 258 more in a single unlock, and there are twenty themed expansion packs on top of that, covering everything from Greek Mythology to 90s Nostalgia. New packs are added over time.
Can I control what comes up?
Set a difficulty range for Person, Object and Place, so a table with kids at it and a table of trivia obsessives get different decks. Switch expansion packs on and off between rounds to steer the night toward whatever your group actually knows.
Does it work without internet?
Yes. The whole free deck ships inside the app, and packs you buy download once and stay playable offline afterwards. It works in the car, at a cabin, or in a basement with no signal.
Will cards repeat?
No. The app tracks every card it has dealt and will not show it again until you choose to shuffle the discard pile back in. That is the part a paper deck cannot do without someone carefully keeping the piles separate all night.
